Burnt Mill Veterinary Center is a mixed animal practice. We provide medical, surgical and consultation services to a variety of patients including horses, cattle, sheep, goats, dogs, cats and some exotic species. Dairy management and equine health are a large part of the services offered in addition to providing wellness protocols for your family pets.
We pride ourselves in giving each patient the time and attention needed both on the farm and in our clinic. Our veterinarians work closely together to provide solutions to the medical issue at hand and refer cases to board certified practices as needed.
Our hospital facility consists of a modern small animal hospital and a large animal facility. Both hospitals include sterile surgical suites and wards for medical and surgical patients. Two trucks are outfitted for large animal veterinary medical services.
Laboratory facilities for blood counts, bacteriology, some chemistries, cytology, parasitology, and urinalysis are available. Other tests are sent out to various specialty veterinary laboratories.
Special equipment includes a fiberoptic endoscope, gas anesthesia machines, heart monitor, ultrasonic dental cleaner and polisher, ultrasound and radiograph (x-ray) machines and tonopen (to check eye pressure).
